I'm a qualified primary teacher with over ten years' experience, and for the last six I've specialised in 11+ preparation for grammar and independent school entry. I teach maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and I start every pupil with a short assessment so our lessons focus on what they need most. Lessons are calm, structured and encouraging: we build the method step by step, practise with real exam-style questions, and work on timing and exam technique as the test gets closer. Parents get a short note after each lesson and a progress update every half term, so you always know how your child is getting on. Many of my pupils have gone on to places at their first-choice schools, but just as importantly, they walk into the exam feeling confident.

How the tutor directory works

  1. Step 1: Find a tutor

Filter by area, subject and online or in-person lessons. Each profile shows the tutor's subjects, experience and hourly rate.

  2. Step 2: Get in touch

With a free parent account, send the tutor a message or ask for lessons for your child. You'll see their reply in your account.

  3. Step 3: Lessons or a group class

Some tutors also run group classes you can ask to join. Once your child has worked with a tutor, you can leave a review.

Tutors set their own prices. We check each tutor's DBS certificate before listing them, but please still use your own judgement, as you would when choosing any tutor.
