The free practice paper books

These are general 11+ practice papers at exam standard, using the question types found in 11+ tests. They aren't official papers and they aren't written for the Yorkshire tests. For the real format and timings, use any familiarisation material the organisers publish (linked below).

The 11+ tests in Yorkshire

Entrance arrangements differ from school to school in Yorkshire. North Yorkshire Council runs the test for Ripon Grammar School; Ermysted's and Skipton Girls' High in Skipton set their own; the two Halifax grammar schools share a joint test; and Heckmondwike Grammar School runs its own exam.

Registration and test dates for the Ripon Grammar School entrance test, the Ermysted's Grammar School entrance test, the Skipton Girls' High School entrance test, the Halifax grammar schools admissions test and the Heckmondwike Grammar School entrance examhaven't been confirmed on our site yet. Registration: Usually opens in the spring/summer before the test. We'll show the date once the organiser publishes it.
