Each sheet fits on one A4 page. Print the topic your child is working on, not all of them at once.
Pin it by the desk or on the fridge. Seeing the rule every day is how it sticks.
Cover a red box and ask your child to say the rule, then try the example without looking.
Use the sheet while practising, then put it away for timed papers: nothing can be looked up on the day.
Want the full explanation behind a rule? Each sheet links to its study guide, and the free 11+ questions are a quick way to try the rules out.
One-page revision sheets with the rules, formulas and tricks that come up again and again in 11+ tests. There are 10 sheets with 100 rules in all, each with a short worked example, covering maths, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
Yes. Every sheet can be viewed on this page and downloaded as a PDF without signing up, and you can download all of them in one PDF.
No. 11+ tests don't give a formula sheet, so the rules need to be learnt. Use the sheets while learning and practising a topic, then practise without them before timed papers.
The ones that come up most are area and perimeter, volume of a cuboid, angle facts (on a line, around a point, in triangles and quadrilaterals), fractions, decimals and percentages, ratio, speed, distance and time, and averages. Each has its own sheet here.
They're written for children preparing for the 11+ in Year 5 and the start of Year 6, and they're useful for Key Stage 2 maths in general.
Print the sheet for the topic your child is learning, keep it in sight while they practise, and test them by covering the rules. Before the exam, practise without the sheet so they can recall each rule on their own.
