How the test works
Single transfer test for all academically selective post-primary schools since 2023 (replaced AQE and PPTC). Results are a Total Standardised Age Score and a band; each school sets its own criteria. Applications and offers run through the Education Authority (not 31 October / 1 March).
How results are given: A total of standardised scores.
Arrangements can change from year to year. The official website has the final word.
