Set 672380Leo asks 60 children how they get to school. 20% of them walk. How many children walk?
There are 32 children in Daniel's class. 3/4 of them have a pet. How many children do not have a pet?
Sofia scores 8 out of 10 in a spelling test. What percentage is that?
Ethan has a bag of 20 sweets and shares out 1/5 of them. How many sweets are left in the bag?
There are 25 children in Yusuf's class. 1/5 of them have a pet. How many children do not have a pet?
What it practises
Finding fractions of a class, a bag of sweets or an amount of money, percentages of a group, and turning a test score into a percentage.
How to solve them
To find a fraction of an amount, divide by the bottom number and multiply by the top. For percentages, find 10% first and build from there.
How to use it
Print the questions and keep the answers page to one side. Allow about 20 minutes, then mark it together and talk through anything that went wrong using the explanations. Move up a level once your child gets most of them right.
