Registers and attendance for your centre
At a glance
Today's registers
Every class meeting today in the branch you're in, done or not done. Open one to take it.
Term history
Every class day this term with each child's mark, their totals and their attendance percentage.
Absences flagged
Children absent twice in a fortnight, or absent today without a note, are listed for you to follow up.
Taking a register
One tap per child, saved as you go
- Tap Present, Absent or Late for each child. Excused and Clear are under More.
- Every tap saves straight away, so there's no Save button to forget. If the connection drops, it tries again.
- Mark everyone present in one go, then change the few who aren't.
- Add a note to a child's mark, such as a reason for being late.
- On a keyboard: P, A, L and E on a child's row, N for the note, and the arrow keys to move.
- Each mark records who took it, so you know which member of staff marked the register.
- Children booked in for a trial lesson that day are shown on the register.
Absences to follow up
Your dashboard lists children who have been absent twice or more in the last 14 days, or who are absent today without a note, so a missed week doesn't turn into a missed month. Add a note to the mark once you know why.
Invoices from the register
Invoice a whole class at once, with a flat fee or a fee per session attended taken from the register. One draft per parent, with each of their children as a line, for you to check before sending.
Phone, tablet or laptop
Tap through on a phone or tablet in class, or use the keyboard shortcuts at a desk.
Tracking
Term history and attendance percentages
The class's term
History runs for the class's own term dates when you set them, or otherwise for the school term (autumn, spring or summer).
Attendance percentages
Each child's present, absent, late and excused totals with their attendance percentage, and the class's overall percentage. Children under 80% stand out.

The centre overview
Attendance across your branches, registers that weren't taken in the last fortnight, and children with repeated absences.
Who can take registers
Each member of staff sees their own classes
Owner and managers
Take and correct registers for every class in their branches, and see attendance on the centre overview.
Tutors
Take registers for the classes you give them, and see those children's attendance.
Assistants
Take registers and mark work, and nothing else: no invoices, messages or children's details to edit.
Parents see their child's attendance on their own account once they've accepted your centre's invitation. Want to track scores too? See worksheets and photo marking.
Questions
Questions about registers
Can an assistant take the register?
Yes. Assistants have their own sign-in and can take registers and mark work for their branches. They can't see invoices, send parent messages or change children's details, and no member of staff sees billing.
Do parents see their child's attendance?
Yes. Parents who have accepted your centre's invitation see their child's attendance on their own Academy11+ account, on their child's page and in reports.
Can we invoice for the sessions a child actually attended?
Yes. When you invoice a whole class you can charge a flat fee or a fee per session attended, worked out from the register. Invoices are saved as drafts for you to check before anything is sent.
What counts as a term?
If you set term dates on a class, its history runs for those dates. Otherwise it uses the school term the day falls in: autumn (September to December), spring (January to March) or summer (April to August).
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The register is made for tapping through a class on a phone or tablet, and each tap saves as you go.
