About Colchester Royal Grammar School
Colchester Royal Grammar School is a state school for boys aged 11 to 18 in Colchester, Essex, and admits girls into a co-educational Sixth Form. It was founded in 1206 and became an academy in 2012. It is one of very few state boarding schools, with a boarding house designed for 30 Sixth Form students. Applications are welcomed at 11+ and 16+.
