What it practises
Distance, speed and time problems: working out how far, how fast or how long, including journey times in minutes, average speed and changing between units.
How to solve them
Remember the triangle: distance = speed × time, speed = distance ÷ time, time = distance ÷ speed. Change minutes into hours (30 minutes = 0.5 hours) before you use it.
How to use it
Print the questions and keep the answers page to one side. Allow about 15 minutes, then mark it together and talk through anything that went wrong using the explanations. Move up a level once your child gets most of them right.
