Shapes and Angles
Set 675524How many lines of symmetry does this kite have?
The shape is a trapezium with two equal sloping sides (marked with dashes). The arrows show the parallel sides. Work out the size of angle x. The diagram is not drawn to scale.
What it practises
Types of angle, missing angles on a straight line, around a point, in triangles and quadrilaterals and between parallel lines, the properties of 2D shapes, and lines of symmetry. Diagrams are drawn on the sheet.
How to solve them
Learn the key facts: angles on a straight line add up to 180°, around a point to 360°, in a triangle to 180° and in a quadrilateral to 360°. Write the fact you are using next to your working.
How to use it
Print the questions and keep the answers page to one side. Allow about 15 minutes, then mark it together and talk through anything that went wrong using the explanations. Move up a level once your child gets most of them right.
