Which figure completes the grid?
What it practises
A grid with one square missing. Patterns run across the rows and down the columns; your child picks the missing square.
How to solve them
Look along each row and then down each column. Work out what stays the same and what changes, then pick the option that fits both directions.
How to use it
Print the questions and keep the answers page to one side. Allow about 12 minutes, then mark it together and talk through anything that went wrong using the explanations. Move up a level once your child gets most of them right.
