What it practises
Short logic puzzles: ordering people by height or age, seating people in a row, and deciding which statement must be true from a set of facts.
How to solve them
Draw it: a line from tallest to shortest, or a row of seats. Put in the definite facts first, then use the other clues one at a time. Only choose a statement that MUST be true.
How to use it
Print the questions and keep the answers page to one side. Allow about 15 minutes, then mark it together and talk through anything that went wrong using the explanations. Move up a level once your child gets most of them right.
