What it practises
Pairs of letters linked by moves along the alphabet. Your child works out how the first pair becomes the second and does the same to the third pair.
How to solve them
Use the alphabet at the top of the sheet. Count how far the first letter moves, then how far the second letter moves (they can be different), and check for letters that move backwards.
How to use it
Print the questions and keep the answers page to one side. Allow about 15 minutes, then mark it together and talk through anything that went wrong using the explanations. Move up a level once your child gets most of them right.
