What it practises
A sentence hides a four-letter word that runs from the end of one word into the start of the next. Your child finds the hidden word.
How to solve them
Run your finger along each pair of neighbouring words, joining the end of one to the start of the next. Try splits of 1+3, 2+2 and 3+1 letters.
How to use it
Print the questions and keep the answers page to one side. Allow about 15 minutes, then mark it together and talk through anything that went wrong using the explanations. Move up a level once your child gets most of them right.
